Spam rules

Blabber only allows warm introductions. The referrer must personally know the person they are introducing and must already have that person’s permission to text them. We don’t allow spamming strangers or manipulating activities to unfairly benefit from the referral rewards program.

What we define as spam

  • Sending introductions to individuals with whom referrers have no prior relationship or without obtaining consent to receive messages.

What we define as not-legitimate referrals

  • Creating fictional individuals, fake contact details, or self-referring with altered information.
  • Using uploaded contact information from purchased or unauthorized data lists.

Indicators of no prior relationship or non-legitimate referrals

  • The referred person has not responded to the introduction message within 24 hours.
  • The referred person's response suggests they don’t know the referrer (e.g., "You have the wrong number," "I don’t know who you are," "Unsubscribe," "Stop," etc.).

How spam is detected

The Blabber spam check, powered by ChatGPT, identifies spam by monitoring referred persons’ responses and automatically flags illegitimate referrals as spam.

What happens when a referral is flagged as spam

Violation Referrer account Details
1st Warning The referrer receives a spam notice in the referral mobile app after their first flagged referral. They are reminded about the spam rules and warned that if they continue, their account may be immediately restricted, suspended, or terminated, and they may forfeit any earned cash rewards.
2nd Restricted The referrer’s account is restricted for 24 hours.
3rd+ Restricted The referrer’s account is restricted for 1 week.
Repeated Suspended Based on your spam settings, the system automatically suspends the referrer’s account after repeated spam violations.

Referrer account access

When the referrer account is restricted or suspended:

  • Referrers can access their account.
  • Referrers cannot make introductions or receive cash rewards or new offers.
